President Donald Trump said in a tweet Saturday that he was suing former staffer Omorosa Manigault Newman for violating her confidentiality agreement after he fired her, One American News Network reported.
“…Yes, I am currently suing various people for violating their confidentiality agreements. Disgusting and foul mouthed Omarosa is one. I gave her every break, despite the fact that she was despised by everyone, and she went for some cheap money from a book. Numerous others also!”
While it certainly isn’t normal for a U.S. president to sue other citizens, it also isn’t normal for staffers to leave and then accept a lucrative book deal to tell the world about their former boss, all before that boss leaves office, either.
Let’s face it–if Trump operated like all the presidents who came before him, he probably would have left office with his tail between his legs by now. That’s part of his strength. He won’t be cowed or drummed out by anyone just because they don’t like his policies or his perspective.
He might not even have gotten elected in the first place but for his tendency to say and do what he thinks is right, no matter how his political enemies try to smear him.
