Conservative superstar and former Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) just confirmed the rumors. He made a big announcement on national television and people are stunned.
Appearing on Fox News, Gowdy said what many Americans have assumed all along — that Robert Mueller didn’t even know his own report and might not have been in charge. He was not capable of testifying before Congress this week.
“The person who learned the most about the Mueller Report today was Bob Mueller,” said Gowdy. He also noted that the hearing Democrats pined for was an “abject, miserable failure,” and he couldn’t be more right.
“Bad facts make for bad witnesses, bad witnesses made for bad hearings,” continued Gowdy. “He clearly did not write the report, which means those under him did, which means the issue of bias is all the more important.”
Simply put, he said, “It was a terrible day if you were a Democrat.” But he did give them ‘credit’ for at least one thing in a joking manner. “They managed to have a hearing without calling a convicted felon as a witness, and I don’t want us to overlook that.”
Gowdy is sorely missed in Congress, but it’s refreshing to still have his insightful legal analysis on Fox News. He has a great way of cutting through the muck to get to the actual truth.
