Fans of country music legend Kenny Rogers received a scare this week, when Rogers, 80, was rushed to a Georgia hospital.
The Daily Mail reports:
Kenny Rogers has been admitted to a Georgia hospital for dehydration.
A statement posted to the 80-year-old country singing icon’s Twitter and Instagram accounts on Friday confirmed the news.
According to the statement, Kenny is on the mend but will remain in hospital to ‘complete some physical therapy and get his strength back’.
Although the cause of the hospitalization appears less serious than initially feared, Rogers will remain in the hospital for some time.
The Daily Mail again:
He will remain there to complete some physical therapy to get his strength back prior to discharge. He appreciates the concern and well wishes he has received from his fans and can assure everyone he plans on sticking around through the years to come.’
His team also added that they had chosen to inform his fans on the happenings, after ‘recent wild misinformation and speculation.’
Rogers is known for hits such as “Islands in the Stream” and “The Gambler.”
We wish Rogers a swift recovery.
