Vice President Mike Pence just issued a tragic update to the nation. This is awful, and people need to prepare themselves.
Speaking on the terror attacks in Sri Lanka over Easter weekend, Pence said, “This atrocity is an attack on Christianity & religious freedom everywhere. No one should ever be in fear in a house of worship.”
Pence made the statement on Twitter, ensuring that he and President Trump are “monitoring the horrific attacks on those celebrating Easter in Sri Lanka.”
He also said their “hearts & prayers are with the victims & their families,” something the left likely criticized. Prayer isn’t worth much, according to most liberals.
But Pence couldn’t be more right. The radical Islamic terrorism on display in Sri Lanka is yet another sober reminder of the danger everyone faces, but especially Christians in hostile regions.
It is refreshing to see an American leader call out the enemy and identify why we must remain ever-vigilant in destroying terrorism worldwide. Our very future depends on it.
