Fox News viewers tuning in to “Judge Jeanine” Saturday night were surprised to be greeted by a rerun of the documentary series “Scandalous: The Trial of William Kennedy Smith.”
Confused fans soon learned the devastating news that Jeanine Pirro had been suspended by Fox News after controversial questions directed at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), a Somalia-born Muslim.
“Your party is not anti-Israel. She is,” Pirro said of Democrats. “Omar wears a hijab… Is her adherence to this Islamist doctrine indicative of her adherence to sharia law, which is antithetical to the U.S. Constitution?”
Buckling to the demands of political correctness, Fox News issued a statement condemning Pirro’s remarks and saying “they do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly.”
While Fox News leaves Pirro’s angry fans to guess whether the firebrand host is headed back to her time slot or the unemployment line, they also aren’t hearing from Pirro herself.
Pirro’s last public statement came more than a week ago, when she defended her words as an attempt “to ask a question and start a debate, but of course because one is Muslim does not mean you don’t support the Constitution.”
