A high-ranking Democrat is on the verge of resignation after a major scandal just dropped. Fraud is being committed right under Americans’ noses, and it’s time the perpetrator is held accountable.
Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly (D) has released a shocking directive “aimed at bypassing existing welfare work requirements” in a “direct violation of state law,” wrote House Majority Leader Dan Hawkins (R) in a press release.
Then, in a bombshell letter, Rep. Hawkins continued taking Governor Kelly to task for this move. This is “an effort to increase the number of able-bodied adults without dependents receiving food stamps,” said Hawkins.
However, Kansas law is abundantly clear that able-bodied adults without dependents (ABAWDs) cannot continue receiving food stamps if they do not meet the state’s work requirement after three months.
“This memo directs caseworkers to continue providing food stamps to ABAWDs who refuse to meet the work requirement,” and, in addition to violating the law, it will “keep more able-bodied adults out of the workforce.” Gov. Kelly should resign for committing this fraud.
But this is exactly what Democrats always do. When the law doesn’t work in their political favor, they try to pretend that the law doesn’t even exist. The lawlessness of liberal politicians will be their undoing in 2020.
