While Robert Mueller’s politically-motivated investigation is winding down soon, the witch hunt against President Trump and his allies has continued unabated in the meantime.
Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign chairman, was found guilty in federal court of lying to investigators on at least three different occasions about his link to a Russian associate, Konstantin Kilimnik, thereby voiding his plea deal that he would be shown leniency for full cooperation.
But U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson also ruled that government prosecutors couldn’t prove all of their allegations against Manafort, specifically the claims that Manafort misled them about his contacts with the Trump White House and Kilimnik’s hand in possible conspiracy to obstrust justice.
Once again, the entrenched Clintonites and deep-state operators in our own government have exposed themselves. While it’s true that they’ve been able to knock Manafort down a couple more notches, they also went to court with unsubstantiated allegations that the judge threw out as illegitimate. Regardless, if this is the case that Mueller is going to hang his hat on, his probe really is going to go out with a whimper.
