A tragedy involving the U.S. Supreme Court just occurred. It finally happened, and people are in shock. They can’t believe it.
In a startling callback to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the liberal Democrat who started it all, major Democrats are now calling for a plan to pack the Supreme Court in their favor by expanding seats.
Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign has rightly blasted this unprecedented move. “This is just what the Democrats always do,” said the campaign.
The campaign went on to say that Democrats “try to change the rules” when they can’t win. “This is no different from when they attack the Electoral College every time they lose the White House. Now it’s court-packing.”
Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg said that he has “not reached a considered position on the question of court packing,” however, he said, “I don’t think we should be laughing at it.”
Failed Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke, who is also running for president as a Democrat, said the question about expanding seats at the Supreme Court “calls us to be creative about what some of the solutions are.”
