News is spreading like wildfire about a Supreme Court stunner. It is finally happening, and the Democrats are furious. There’s nothing they can do about it now.
U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has written a letter with eight other GOP senators asking the Department of Justice (DOJ) about “the status of criminal referrals” made during Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings.
“In the process of evaluating claims against the then-nominee, committee investigators collected 25 written statements and spoke with 45 individuals,” said Grassley’s press release.
“Those investigations culminated in the nominee’s confirmation and the release of a 414-page committee report concluding that there was no credible evidence to support any of the allegations,” continued the release.
The letter itself — sent to Attorney General William Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray — notes the specific criminal referrals that were made by the Senate Judiciary Committee.
There were four individuals refferred “to the DOJ and FBI for investigation of potential violations,” namely, making “materially false statements” and committing “obstruction,” and the senators want answers.
