News is spreading nationwide about a stunning Supreme Court notice. In a shocking development, two members of our nation’s highest court were just asked to step down. This is unreal.
Aaron Belkin, the leader of Take Back the Court, a far-left advocacy group, has written a letter to Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Samuel Alito demanding that the conservative pair recuse themselves from all future LGBT-related cases.
Recently, Kavanaugh and Alito were pictured in a photograph with the president of the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) and World Congress for Families (WCF). Both groups advocate for traditional family values.
Belkin accused the justices of making “a mockery of Chief Justice Roberts’ assertion that a judge’s role is to impartially call balls and strikes” and threatened “structural reform of the Supreme Court” if they did not comply with his demands.
Ironically, Belkin hasn’t written a similar letter to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg who recently appeared with former Bill and Hillary Clinton for a live discussion — proving this is all about politics.
While Supreme Court justices certainly must be careful in their public interactions, they still have free speech rights. Kavanaugh and Alito simply posing for a photo doesn’t set off any alarms whatsoever.
