The vice minister of Cuba’s interior ministry resigned after reports surfaced that he questioned the ministry’s response to antigovernmental protests from the people of Cuba.
Brigadier General Jesús Manuel burón Tabit resigned after questioning the excessive use of police force employed by the state against peaceful protestors.
The Cuban government justified the force by accusing protestors of vandalizing houses, setting fires, and damaging powerlines.
Of course, that could just be a made-up justification for abusing their power… After all, they ARE communists…
