But that’s exactly what members of Joe Biden’s staff are claiming happened to them. Telegraph is reporting that White House staff members don’t have the freedom or courage to tell Joe Biden and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan “they’re wrong” about the disaster in Afghanistan.
A former defense official, who is reportedly in contact with many of Biden’s aides, is on record as saying “People are simply too afraid to tell Biden and Jake Sullivan they’re wrong. But the downside of discipline is if you’re running things like an autocracy, and you broker no dissent internally, that’s not what the purpose of a White House staff is.”
Another individual apparently close to Biden, claims to have begged the President to keep open Bagram Air Base, because it has been MUCH more important in getting American flights in and out of Afghanistan than the public airport in Kabul.
Biden didn’t listen. And now we’re wondering how to fly these folks out of there.
But at least Joe Biden’s staff isn’t allowed to criticize him…
