Have you ever noticed how the people that seem completely unconcerned with how out-of-control the Chinese government is is the people that profit millions of dollars from them?
Take LeBron James for instance. Of COURSE he loves China! His $300 retail shoes are made by little girls there for like 40 cents per pair, what’s not to like?
But the people who don’t take money from China? WE know what’s really going on there, and it’s not good.
Take the sudden disappearance of Peng Shuai, a Chinese professional tennis player. People suspect that the Chinese government is involved, and that speculation was only flamed when the Chinese government put out a public message telling people not to worry about her, and the more silent people are regarding her whereabouts, the sooner we will probably find out about her.
I’m not making that up, the Chinese government actually said that.
