China is feeling increasingly boxed in as President Trump has hit the communist regime with new tariffs and ramped up the political pressure on the nation’s trade practices. In a stunning twist, none other than George Soros has weighed in on the issue.
Soros, the radical left-wing billionaire and relentless Trump opponent, appeared to confess that he agrees with Trump, at least partially, when it comes to China. Unsurprisingly, Soros couldn’t let a day go by without criticizing Trump, alleging that he hasn’t gone far enough. “Regrettably, President Trump seems to be following a different course: make concessions to China and declare victory while renewing his attacks on U.S. allies,” he said.
He went on to say that Trump’s strategy is “liable to undermine the U.S. policy objective of curbing China’s abuses and excesses.” Of course, it would seem that Trump’s pressure on China is working very well, and Soro’s anti-Americanism and dangerous ties continue to stoke skepticism of anything he says.
