President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump attended the sold-out football game on Saturday between the University of Alabama and Louisiana State University. The New York Times has admitted that “cheers dominated” their appearance.
“When he was introduced and shown on the giant screens, the red-clad crowd responded with rousing cheers as a smiling Mr. Trump waved and clapped and drank in the support,” said NYT reporter Katie Rogers.
Chants of “U-S-A, U-S-A!” could be heard from the crowd as well, which was estimated to be over 100,000 strong. Trump could not have picked a better venue — and he was rewarded with overwhelming support.
