On Thursday, President Trump called off a possible airstrike in Iran upon learning that there would be a predicted 150 civilian fatalities. This airstrike would have been in response to Iran’s shooting down of a U.S. drone off its coast.
Many found the President’s choice to be praise-worthy. But Fox News’ Chris Wallace and Shepard Smith were critical, as usual.
An event that showed humanity and strength from the President was painted by these prominent personalities as indecisive.
They even questioned whether the President was being truthful regarding the process.
“So the idea that the president, ten minutes before the actual go — and again, The New York Times is reporting that the ships were in place, that the warplanes were in the air — that ten minutes before you’re learning for the first time that there were going to be 150 casualties, seems pretty unlikely and certainly not the way it’s been done in the past,” Wallace speculated.
Many in the media are so blinded by disdain for President Trump that they refuse to recognize any admirable action on his part. They instead choose to question his honesty and invoke doubt with no basis.
