Fox News just issued an urgent announcement about the passing of a beloved star, and fans nationwide are stunned.
As noted in the ‘Entertainment’ section on FoxNews.com, actor Luke Perry, best known for his roles on ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ and ‘Riverdale,’ has died at the age of 52. He suffered a massive stroke and was tragically unable to recover.
Perry’s publicist, Arnold Robinson, told Fox News that he “was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends.”
“The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning,” Robinson’s statement concluded.
According to reports, Perry was rushed to the hospital last week for “observation” without immediate confirmation as to his status. We soon learned that he had suffered a stroke and was in critical condition, though hope remained for a recovery.
“Luke was everything you would hope he would be: an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all,” said the executive producers of ‘Riverdale’ in a statement.
