An interview ended abruptly for Brazilian volleyball star Jacqueline Carvalho as she fainted on-air.
The Olympic gold medalist was talking with sports reporter Fabiola Andrade during a Superliga game in Brazil when she dropped faster than Adrade could catch her.
Doctors determined that Carvalho’s fainting spell was caused by a rapid, heat-induced drop in blood pressure.
Carvalho is a two-time Olympic gold medalist who earned the top spot in both 2008 and 2012.
She also earned distinction in the World Championships as a two-time silver and one-time bronze winner.
In addition, she has achieved silver in the World Cup, gold in two World Grand Champion Cups, and multiple gold and silver in the World Grand Prix.
