The election commissioner in the Lone Star State’s largest county has resigned after it was revealed that 10,000 ballots were not counted in the Houston area during last week’s primary election.
Isabella Longoria made the announcement that she was resigning after the uncounted ballots were discovered.
“The buck stops with me to address issues for voters, and I did not meet my own standard or the standard set by commissioners,” the former Harris County Elections Commissioner said.
