It was just announced that she has cancer. Trump fans are in mourning, and Americans nationwide need to pray. This is a tragic turn of events.
Governor Kay Ivey (R-AL) has released a video statement saying that doctors found a “tiny, isolated malignancy,” in her lungs. She is scheduled to recieved radiation treatment after the tumor is surgically removed.
Ivey continued: “The good news is I am one of the fortunate ones where this was discovered early, and it is very treatable. The better news is Alabama is home to some of the world’s leading physicians.”
She also added that “none of this will prevent me from continuing to serve as your governor and doing the work you elected me to do,” and she welcomed prayers and support during this time.
Since beginning her service as governor in 2017, Ivey has shown herself to be a strong, capable governor for Alabama with conservative values. President Trump has called her “a very high-quality woman.”
Ivey has also stood by Trump and even supported his nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts on “denuclearization and peace for the peoples of North and South Korea,” including “ending North Korea’s pursuit of nuclear weapons.”
