Former FBI Director James Comey just received the worst news of his life. White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders looked right at the camera and said it.
During a contentious interview with NBC’s notoriously liberal host, Chuck Todd, Sanders did not take arresting Comey off the table. In fact, she said that Attorney General William Barr could do it.
Todd wondered whether President Trump expects criminal charges. “Does he expect — he’s accused James Comey of treason. Does he expect Jim Comey to be arrested?” he asked.
Sanders didn’t take Todd’s bait, but also stood firm and said that “we’re going to let the attorney general make that determination as he gets to the conclusion of this investigation.”
Sanders then mentioned the “unprecedented obstruction and corruption at the FBI, declaring, “those people should certainly be held responsible and be held accountable and the president expects that to take place.”
Todd, as expected, kept trying to turn the narrative on Sanders, but she wasn’t having any of his liberal
