President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani said on Fox & Friends Wednesday that the Ukraine scandal involving Joe Biden showed real collusion, and accused Biden of selling access to the presidency by his actions.
“Joe Biden’s family had pulled in well over $1.5 billion while he was the vice president of the United States — complete sale of the office,” Giuliani said.
Biden likes to say that he didn’t make a lot of money from his political career, but he has not been able to say the same thing about his children. Son Hunter Biden pulled in $50,000 a month working for energy company Burisma Holdings even though he had no experience in the energy sector.
Hunter Biden’s Burisma job is now under even more scrutiny, since Biden has admitted in a recorded interview that he forced Ukraine to fire a prosecutor that was investigating Burisma when his son worked there. Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion from the struggling nation if they didn’t do what he wanted.
“I did this for a living, investigate corruption — Democrats and Republicans. I’ve never seen something that stinks as much as this, with a president of the United States who was on notice of all of this and let this guy run wild… selling the presidency,” Giuliani said.
