Utah senator Mitt Romney won’t be endorsing Donald Trump, his own party’s President. He, in fact, won’t be endorsing anyone.
Romney has followed the late John McCain’s template precisely. Both lost an election, then proceeded to attack the guy who did what they couldn’t.
The decision for Romney to not endorse the party leader is a controversial one. In the pre-Trump era, it was unheard of.
Romney has done very little to help Trump and has done a lot to create division, sometimes over petty causes.
In fact, Romney could easily be mistaken for a Democrat when he talks about Trump’s attitudes.
Say what you want about Trump, but he had what it takes to win. Romney never had those qualities and now all he can do is snipe at Trump.
