Presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke — the former congressman who lost his bid against Sen. Ted Cruz last year — just revealed his shocking plan to ban guns. He would do it without congressional approval.
O’Rourke said, “Credit cards have enabled many of America’s mass shootings in the last decade — and with Washington unwilling to act, they need to cut off the sales of weapons of war today.” This is blacklisting, plain and simple.
He then released a laundry list of demands for banks and credit card companies, proving he is willing to bully anyone to accomplish his radical goal of disarming Americans and destroying the Constitution.
“1. Refuse to take part in the sale of assault weapons. 2. Stop processing transactions for gun sales online & at gun shows without background checks. 3. Stop doing business with gun & ammo manufacturers who produce or sell assault weapons,” he said.
Clearly faltering in the polls, O’Rourke is grasping at anything and everything he can to stay relevant in the Democratic primary. And he has plenty of company as well, considering the other candidates believe being anti-gun is the way to win.
But this kind of public bullying of American financial institutions is practically unprecedented. He is calling for our banks and credit card companies to turn on law-abiding citizens. O’Rourke is dangerous and must be defeated at the polls.
