The swamp in Washington is a revolving door of politicians, bureaucrats, and lobbyists. Now another high-ranking official is heading for the exit.
President Trump has to be pleased about this one, though. A senior Department of Justice official just told Fox News that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is expected to resign by mid-March.
This comes off the heels of a bombshell revelation by former FBI Director Andrew McCabe that discussions took place with high-ranking officials about forcibly removing Trump from office. Rosenstein was part of these talks.
Upon learning of the news, Trump tweeted, “He and Rod Rosenstein, who was hired by Jeff Sessions (another beauty), look like they were planning a very illegal act, and got caught.”
“There is a lot of explaining to do to the millions of people who had just elected a president who they really like and who has done a great job for them with the Military, Vets, Economy and so much more,” Trump continued.
“This was the illegal and treasonous ‘insurance policy’ in full action!” Trump concluded, underscoring the desire of Robert Mueller and the anti-Trump hacks in the FBI and DOJ to kick him out as president if their sham investigation didn’t go as planned.
