Representative Richard Hudson, a Republican from North Carolina, has introduced legislation that will expedite ammunition donations to Ukraine from American ammo makers.
Joining Hudson were Representatives Victoria Spartz, a Republican from Indiana, and Elise Stefanik, a Republican from New York.
Hudson released details of the legislation on Twitter.
Last week, @ammoincusa announced a plan to send 1M rounds of ammo to Ukraine with support from Richard Childress. Our American Ammo in Defense of Ukraine Act will make it easier for ammo manufacturers to get donations like this to Ukraine. https://t.co/XGygpxG7UQ

One example in which Hudson’s legislation would help would be in the case of Arizona’s AMMO Inc.. Last week, it was reported that they were donating one million rounds of ammunition to Ukraine and had a private plane ready to make a delivery but were having trouble getting off the ground because of government red tape.
This legislation will make sure Ukrainians get their donations when they need them: as soon a s possible.
