Police were just notified about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi sent out the warning, and Omar is being watched.
After President Trump tweeted a video criticizing comments Omar made about 9/11 — which includes video of the terror attacks — Pelosi order the Capitol Police to protect Omar, her family, and her staff.
Sadly, it’s being reported that Omar has received frequent death threats. These threats have no place in America and should be condemned, however, Pelosi trying to blame Trump is a new low.
All Trump did was share a powerful video showing how flippantly Omar views 9/11. Her now infamous “some people did something” line is included for good reason.
In addition to asking the Capitol Police to step in, Pelosi said that “President Trump must take down his disrespectful and dangerous video.” But White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders disagreed with Pelosi.
Sanders said, “That was one of the most horrific moments in American history and for her to talk about it in such a dismissive way is frankly disgusting and abhorrent, and I’m glad the president is calling her out and holding her accountable for it.”
