Ocasio-Cortez Humiliated – Millions Saw It

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal took a brutal lashing from fromer Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz — and the left wasn’t happy.

Speaking at SXSW, the self-described centrist, who walked away from the Democratic Party after being turned off by its increasingly far left stances, mocked the proposal as an “Alice in Wonderland fantasy.”

Among the goals that Schultz finds unrealistic is the replacing or retrofitting of every building in the entire country for state-of-the-art energy efficiency by 2030.

“That’s a great idea but it’s never gonna happen,” Schultz said. “Let’s propose t hings that are true, that are honest, that are sincere and realistic.”

Schultz is considering joining the 2020 presidential race as an independent who will appeal to middle-of-the-road voters. But few such voters seemed to be present at SXSW.

Schultz drew boos as he warned of the dangers of socialism, saying, “If you want a good description of socialism, just look at Venezuela.”
