Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is being hauled into court. She is in total shock, but there’s nothing she can do about it. The socialist congresswoman cannot escape this time.
In an ironic twist, Ocasio-Cortez was just sued for blocking people from interacting with her on Twitter. Two separate lawsuits have now hit her after the Second Circuit Court of Appeals ruled President Trump couldn’t block critics from his account.
“No one is above the law. If the courts ruled POTUS can’t block people on Twitter, why would @AOC think she can get away with silencing her critics?” tweeted former New York Assemblyman Dov Hikind, a Democrat, who filed suit against her.
The other lawsuit has been brought by GOP congressional candidate Joey Saladino. “I have filed my lawsuit against AOC for blocking me on twitter. Trump is not allowed to block people, will the standards apply equally? Stay tuned to find out!” he tweeted.
These two lawsuits present test cases that are desperately needed. Anything less than the same ruling against Ocasio-Cortez will expose unacceptable Democratic bias in our court system.
She hasn’t even been a congresswoman for a full year, and she cannot manage to stay out of controversy and trouble. Many are hoping that a formidable candidate rises up against her — her constituents deserve so much better.
