Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley — who up until recently served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations — just made a major announcement. It is about Vice President in 2020.
Smacking down the hearsay, Haley tweeted, “Enough of the false rumors. Vice President Pence has been a dear friend of mine for years. He has been a loyal and trustworthy VP to the President. He has my complete support.”
As Haley noted, rumors have been swirling that Pence would be dropped from the GOP ticket and replaced by her. The lies became so loud and persistent that she had to say something in defense of her “dear friend,” as she put it.
It is difficult to know where the rumors originated, but there’s always a good chance they were started by liberals trying to cause confusion. Haley proved her sterling character once again by speaking out.
Also, if that wasn’t enough, President Trump himself has reaffirmed his support for Pence. When asked about it recently by reporters in New Jersey, Trump said, “I wouldn’t be thinking about that. I’m happy with Mike Pence.”
He continued: “I think Mike Pence has been an outstanding VP. I think that he’s been incredible in terms of the love that a lot of people, especially if you look at the evangelicals and so many others, they have a great respect for our vice president, and so do I.”
