House Democrats’ first 100 days as the majority party have ended with “nothing but failure” — pushing President Trump toward an increasingly more likely 2020 win.
“Tomorrow marks the 100th day of Nancy Pelosi’s speakership,” said House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, “and it’s been defined by nothing but failure.”
For Scalise, that included “a failure to secure the border, a failure to focus on lowering healthcare costs, failure to end infanticide, failure to stand up to the anti-Semitism.”
However, the critics that Pelosi may need to worry most about are those on the left side of the aisle
Even sympathetic 60 Minutes reporter Lesley Stahl questioned Pelosi on her failure to reach across the aisle to accomplish an agenda.
“It seems like right now, nothing is getting done,” Stahl said. “You pass things. Whatever it is, dies in the Senate.”
