President Donald Trump said late Sunday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is guilty of treason and should be impeached, USA Today reported.
“This makes Nervous Nancy every bit as guilty as Liddle’ Adam Schiff for High Crimes and Misdemeanors, and even Treason,” Trump tweeted. “I guess that means that they, along with all of those that evilly ‘Colluded’ with them, must all be immediately Impeached!”
Members of Congress can’t actually be impeached, but the tweet was a way for Trump to fight back against unfair treatment while pointing out that Pelosi was doing the same or worse than he was even accused of.
Trump was lumping Pelosi in with House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff, who Trump calls “shifty.” House Republicans called on Schiff to resign from his chairmanship after he made up statements that he alleged took place between Trump and Ukraine’s president, even though a transcript of the call had been released.
A formal impeachment inquiry has not been voted on by the entire House, but is attempting to find dirt on Trump anyway.
