A Russian airplane with 22 passengers and six crew members on board went missing this week.
It was flying from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to the town of Polana and has been missing since Tuesday, July 5, authorities said.
The plane had been in operation since 1982 and belonged to a company called Kamchatka Aviation Enterprise, and was an Antonov An-26.
Some reports have already said that an investigation and a search mission have already been started. It is worth noting that this particular source also suggests the plane may have crashed into the sea, but official reports have not yet mentioned anything like that.
The same company had an airplane crash into a mountain while trying to land in Palana in 2012. That flight contained 14 people, with ten of them passing away. Both pilots were among the dead, and were found to have alcohol in their system
