Special counsel Robert Mueller just made a stunning decision, and the White House is shocked. Mueller’s reversal has thrust Washington, DC, into absolute chaos, and it’s only going to get worse.
After weeks of speculation, Mueller has decided that he would testify before two congressional committees — House Judiciary and House Intelligence — both run by anti-Trump Democrats.
Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), as chairmen of these committees, were threatening to subpoena Mueller if he didn’t show up willingly to discuss his report on Trump-Russia ‘collusion.’
As Americans know, Mueller’s investigation ended without his recommending that President Trump be prosecuted, a fact Democrats have been angry about ever since. Now they’ve turned on Mueller.
But Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) laid it all out in an appearance on Fox News. “If he stays within the four corners of the document, what good is his testimony?” he asked.
“If he goes outside the document, he’s going to get killed politically,” said Graham. “If he does what he said he would do in his press conference, refer back to the document, this is just a political circus,” Graham continued.
