The credibility of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of President Donald Trump has taken another blow — and Mueller is ignoring it.
We now know two members of his team, Andrew Weissmann and Zainab Ahmad, were likely aware the now-discredited Trump dossier was a fake, but failed to halt its use to obtain a surveillance warrant against Trump.
In a closed-door interview with the House Oversight and Judiciary Committee, Justice Department official Bruce Ohr recounted how he warned Weissmann, Zainab and others about the dossier’s unreliability and how it was connected to the Clinton campaign.
Despite this apparent conflict of interest, the special counsel has refused a Fox News request for comment and continues to move forward with his tainted investigation.
