Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky was just accused by a high-ranking former official of something terrible. Considering the source, what do you think about this charge against McConnell?
Former Attorney General Eric Holder said in an interview with MSNBC that McConnell has “done a whole bunch of unpatriotic things, has really been a force for polarization in this nation.” He also said, “History will not be kind to him.”
It’s ironic to hear this statement coming from Holder. For nearly Obama’s entire tenure as president, Holder treated his role as Attorney General loosely. None of us will ever forget Operation Fast and Furious and his other purely political actions.
Holder must be projecting his own failures. He’s the one with blood on his hands. He’s the one who turned agencies like the Department of Justice into a national laughingstock, something the agency is still recovering from.
Hopefully, with William Barr now serving as attorney general, President Trump can begin to undo the damage the Obama years did to our law enforcement and intelligence agencies by Holder and other establishment swamp creatures.
Maybe this is why Holder isn’t a fan of Trump. In the same interview, he said that our president “is in danger of being the worst president in the history of the United States.” On the contrary, Trump is changing our nation for the better, and Holder simply can’t stand it.
