It was just discovered that former First Lady Michelle Obama is linked to a major scandal heating up the news. The police have been involved for weeks, and there’s no sign of this case ending anytime soon.
Kim Foxx, the state’s attorney for Cook County, is being called out by the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police. They have asked the feds to investigate whether Foxx tried to interfere in the Jussie Smollett case on behalf of Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff, Tina Tchen.
Foxx currently serves as the state’s attorney for Cook County, which includes the city of Chicago. She eventually left the case, and then Smollett was charged with ‘disorderly conduct’ shortly thereafter. It’s certainly suspicious.
“[Cook County State’s Attorney Kim] Foxx recused herself late in the investigation, but only after she intervened in the case by asking Chicago Police Department Superintendent Eddie Johnson to turn the investigation over to the FBI,” reported CBS Chicago.
The report continued by alleging Foxx did so “at the request of a Smollett relative and a former Obama administration official, according to newly-released emails and text messages.” The exchange between Foxx and Tchen is illuminating, to say the least.
Smollett’s family “have concerns about the investigation,” Tchen wrote in one email. Foxx said that she “spoke to the superintendent” in an effort to “figure out logistics.” They clearly wanted to keep this pinned on Trump fans, who did nothing. But as we now know, it was Smollett all along.
