Disgraced Trump attorney Michael Cohen just issued a huge confession, and the FBI is stunned. What he admitted is shocking.
According to reports, Cohen has claimed that part of his guilty plea was “a lie” in order to protect his wife, Laura Shusterman, who federal prosecutors were investigating.
Cohen said, “I love this woman, and I am not going to let her get dragged into the mud of this crap. I never thought the judge was going to throw a three-year fricking sentence.”
In short, his wife’s name appeared on a bank account in which he deposited over $2 million in loan proceeds related to a home equity line of credit that came under scrutiny.
Oddly enough, Cohen made this confession in a recorded call with actor Tom Arnold. They bumped into each other on a “chance, public encounter,” according to Arnold.
They held a call shortly thereafter and Arnold recorded it without Cohen’s knowledge and released it to The Wall Street Journal.
