The New York Times had to update a “bombshell” story about a new sexual misconduct allegation against Brett Kavanaugh on Sunday after they left out one important detail.
The allegation came from a soon-to-be-released book about Kavanaugh, and accused the Supreme Court Justice of showing up to a party at Yale University naked. The NYT reported that witnesses said that friends of Kavanaugh pushed his penis into the hand of a female partygoer.
What the NYT neglected to put in the story, however, was that the female involved in the story doesn’t remember the incident and declined to be interviewed for the book. She has never commented publicly on the incident or accused Kavanaugh of anything.
The bottom line: the NYT omitted exculpatory evidence. The whole thing is a total bust.
That didn’t stop 2020 Democrat presidential candidates including Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) from calling for Kavanaugh’s impeachment over yet another unproven allegation against him.
