Shocking new evidence was just uncovered related to the drama surrounding Justice Brett Cavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. People thought the controversy was over, but bombshell information has now leaked.
According to the authors of a new book called ‘Justice on Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation and the Future of the Supreme Court,’ President Trump’s team had major dirt on Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford that never came to light.
Trump and his inner circle knew they were going to fight the media’s smear campaign, but they realized that “any criticism of Ford would be treated as a smear” and wouldn’t be able to escape the “victim shaming” label.
The book’s authors, Fox News’ Mollie Hemingway and Judicial Crisis Network’s Carrie Severino, also note that the White House instead chose to focus on Kavanaugh’s sterling reputation. Remaining positive worked.
Even so, the accusations against Kavanaugh were “obviously ridiculous” and Americans were skeptical of them from the beginning. Hemingway and Servino make the point that “no one could have hidden such crimes for decades.”
Kavanaugh is “a man who went on to hold high-profile positions in the White House and then became a judge on the second-most prominent federal court,” and he simply couldn’t have gone all those years without scandal if the claims were true.
