Pray for Kamala Harris and her family.
Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff has tested positive for COVID.
Kamala Harris was also tested for the virus, and achieved a negative result.
Regardless, “out of an abundance of caution” her scheduled remarks at the White House for Women’s History Month would not be delievered.
Sabrina Singh, deputy press secretary to the vice president, made the announcement:
“Earlier today, the Second Gentleman tested positive for COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution, the Vice President will not participate in tonight’s event. The Vice President tested negative for COVID-19 today and will continue to test.”
Kamala’s husband tested positive for the virus just two days after Barack Obama announced his positive result.
I just tested positive for COVID. I’ve had a scratchy throat for a couple days, but am feeling fine otherwise. Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, and she has tested negative.
It’s a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down.
