Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the 85-year-old Supreme Court justice, continues to draw speculations about her whereabouts and overall health.
According to multiple reports, Ginsburg recently attended an honorary event at a museum in Washington, DC. She is confirmed alive and well. However, the skepticism has persisted for a few reasons: Her age, medical history and lack of public appearances.
Conservative actor James Woods, now blacklisted by Hollywood, tweeted this question, “Seriously though… #WheresRuth?” Another observer on Twitter with the handle @KodsonWoody wondered, “So RBG showed up to a theater but didn’t show up for the SOTU? Okay. #WheresRuth”. It is difficult to blame anyone for asking, is it not?
Democrats are especially concerned by Ginsburg’s general absence, given their hand-wringing over President Trump having the potential opportunity to nominate a third justice to the U.S. Supreme Court. One public event since December doesn’t garner much confidence. As Trump has said, though, we are all “wishing Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg a full and speedy recovery.”
