President Trump just informed Congress. It is happening right now — he is going on the offensive and Deep State operatives should be terrified. It is over for them.
In response to a foreign policy aide to Vice President Mike Pence calling Trump’s call with the Ukrainian president “unusual and inappropriate,” Trump released a statement of his own. He did not mince words.
“Tell Jennifer Williams, whoever that is, to read BOTH transcripts of the presidential calls, & see the just released statement from Ukraine,” he tweeted this week after Williams’ congressional testimony.
“Then she should meet with the other Never Trumpers, who I don’t know & mostly never even heard of, & work out a better presidential attack!’ he continued, refusing to give an inch on the matter of the now-infamous phone call.
But it should not be ‘infamous’ at all. Trump rightly pointed out that the transcripts are available for the public to read; there is nothing about enlisting Ukraine to help him in the 2020 election.
The truth is simple: Ukraine helping the U.S. government look into the Biden-Ukraine allegations is a matter of rooting out possible corruption and upholding the rule of law. There isn’t anything “inappropriate” about it.
