A key Democrat witness just cracked under oath. Gordon Sondland, the U.S. Ambassador to the European Union, has admitted who made the whole thing up.
Initially, Sondland said that “the only logical conclusion” was President Trump conditioned military aid for Ukraine on whether the country would investigate the Bidens’ ties to Burisma — but he clearly concocted this in his head.

I never heard from President Trump that aid was conditioned on an announcement,” he continued. “I don’t recall President Trump ever talking to me about any security assistance, ever.”
A president cannot be impeached over something Sondland and others have essentially deduced. That is not how evidence works in a court of law, and it certainly won’t work here.
Let’s put it this way: If Democrats in the House proceed to impeach Trump, their witch-hunt is dead on arrival in the Senate under Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and the Republican majority.
