Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has finally been defeated. A top Republican just confirmed it — Democrats are in total upheaval and it all leads back to Pelosi’s failures.
Now that Pelosi has given in to Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and will be transmitting the articles of impeachment to the Senate, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has a bold prediction.
“[Tuesday] morning, Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats will huddle in their weekly caucus meeting and I expect it to be more tense than a family meeting at Buckingham Palace,” said Gaetz on Fox News.
The reason for Gaetz’ prediction is simple: The far-left faction of the party thinks she compromised too much along the way. Also, since the impeachment strategy failed, Democrats are in trouble.
“They feel like they’ve been walked off the cliff,” noted Gaetz. “They were told that this was imminent, this was urgent, this was a clear and present danger.” This turned out not to be the case.
With articles of impeachment being sent to the Senate — after Pelosi’s ridiculous delay and grandstanding — the matter will be in the hands of McConnell’s Republican majority. The sham is over.
