White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney dropped a bombshell when he announced his intention to join in on a lawsuit testing the House’s power to subpoena.
His decision will prevent him from giving testimony in the impeachment inquiry until a federal court decides the case.
Mulvaney is caught between orders from the White House and the subpoena from House Democrats, both with a lot of power behind them.
Mulvaney is essentially asking the court to decide who he has to comply with, the executive or legislative branch of the government.
The move has generated a lot of anger from Democrats who insist that this move is proof that Trump’s aides are hiding something.
Regardless of the truth of the matter, there is a lot happening in Washington D.C. and the fight isn’t ending soon.
