In an unexpected decision, President Trump will not be throwing out the first pitch in Game 5 of the World Series.

The Washington Nationals issued a statement saying, “If a Game 5 is necessary, the Nationals will welcome chef and humanitarian José Andrés to throw a ceremonial first pitch.”

It is far from a bad decision either, Andrés has done a lot of good work and helped a lot of people.

President Trump didn’t exactly sound thrilled with the prospect of going out there saying, “I don’t know. They got to dress me up in a lot of heavy armor — I’ll look too heavy,” when asked if he was willing to throw the ceremonial first pitch.

He did, however, say he would be attending the game. Presumably, he will be cheering for the Nationals.

A slight spat started about the President’s attendance of the game, however, Nationals pitcher Aníbal Sánchez said people need to respect the President’s decision if he attends the game.
