Special Prosecutor John Durham is now looking into the communications of former CIA Director John Brennan, including his emails, call logs and other communications.
Durham specifically wants to see Brennan’s communications with former FBI Director James Comey about the Steele dossier, which was used to obtain FISA warrants to spy on Trump aide Carter Page.
Brennan has sent mixed messages about the dossier. He has said he was skeptical about it and treated it as “internet rumor,” but has also said that it might be true.
Durham’s probe has turned criminal. There is no timetable for the investigation to be completed, but some have suggested that a report might be available by June.
Brennan’s CIA had concluded in 2017 that Putin was trying to help Trump in the election, and Durham is seeking information that would tell him how that conclusion was reached.
