Two more top officials were fired in Puerto Rico for mismanaging hurricane relief supplies, after the emergency manager was fired when an entire warehouse of supplies sent from the mainland was discovered last week.
Housing Secretary Fernando Gil and Department of Family Secretary Glorimar Andujar were relieved of their duties Sunday by Puerto Rican Gov. Wanda Vazquez.
There were more than 3,000 deaths attributed to Hurricane Maria, with widespread damage and power loss over the entire island that took many repair crews months to restore.
Trump lifted a hold on aid last week. He had complained that many officials were corrupt and that billions in aid money that “crooked” politicians then took and mismanaged.
Yet another corrupt situation being fixed due to Trump’s efforts and demands, including withholding aid until conditions improved.
