Major bribery charges just dropped and the White House has been notified. This is a developing story, but what is currently known has sent shockwaves through Washington, DC.
Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX) noted during a recent impeachment hearing that the word “bribery” has not been used once by any witnesses the Democrats have called up — yet Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi continues to use the term.
“I word searched each of your transcripts and the world bribery or bribe doesn’t appear anywhere,” Ratcliffe said, questioning witnesses Jennifer Williams and Alexander Vindman.
Both Williams and Vindman answered “correct” to Ratcliffe’s question after he asked them both whether it’s true that they have never used the word “bribery” to describe President Trump’s actions.
Ratcliffe then made this issue completely clear for the record. “No witness has used the word bribery to describe President Trump’s conduct,” he said. “None of them.”
Fox News reporter Chad Pergram noted that Ratcliffe did not stop there and invoked the name of Joe Biden. “Ratcliffe notes that in the nearly 4,000 pages of deposition transcripts, the word ‘bribery’ appears only once – in reference to Biden,” Pergram tweeted.
